Human-in-the-loop
One term from the glossary, defined on its own page: what it means to anyone who meets it, and how we use it.
In short
Human-in-the-loop describes any system that keeps a person inside its working loop, never leaving it to run unattended. The person may set the task, correct the output, or hold the approval a decision has to pass before it takes effect. What the term names is where authority sits, not how much of the work a person does.
In practice
What it means for a business.
Ours takes the strongest of those forms: the AI carries the routine, and a named person keeps authority over anything sensitive, contested, or outside what was agreed. In regulated work every regulated step is approved by a human before it goes live, and what gets routed to a person is agreed with you per build.
